Agritettura

DESIGNER: Giovanni Vaccarini
COMPANY: Aceto Marmi
MATERIAL: Maiella stone

The idea of the stone garden starts from the research on the surface that becomes the generating element that belongs to the primordial actions of setting up an open space: drawing, measuring, quartering, dividing. It is an operation of engraving and subtraction of a few pieces in which the sense is given by the assembly and juxtaposition of the individual elements. The set of ashlars is juxtaposed in space defining both the horizontal and vertical planes of garden architecture, a rough, essential architecture, a machine to produce a play of light and shadows, a tribute to the "value of molding" by Luigi Moretti. The stone is the white stone of the Majella.
